"Bot-free" notetakers get sold as private. Not the same thing. Granola stores transcripts in AWS. Jamie sends audio to servers in Germany. Only a couple (Hyprnote, Meetily) keep audio on-device. "No bot in the call" was never the privacy bar — "never leaves the machine" is.
